How rank works
Every product has an Elo rating, the same kind of rating used in chess. It moves only when real people click a one-click vote between two products in a matchup, judged on idea and pitch alone. Win against a strong competitor and your rating climbs more; lose and it drops. There is no way to buy, gift, or otherwise adjust a rating directly — it is earned purely from votes.
⚡ How Boost works
Boost is the only paid feature on ProductFight, and it's completely separate from rank — it never touches Elo. It simply increases how often a product is shown in matchups, at a flat rate of $1 per minute, with no cap. Buying more time adds to whatever time a product already has left. Anyone can boost any product — a founder, a fan, even a competitor — since it only ever buys attention, never an outcome.
